Recipe: Nutella Semifreddo

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract until thick and pale yellow.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. In a third bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the Nutella into the egg yolk mixture until well combined.
  5. Slowly fold the whipped cream into the Nutella mixture until fully incorporated.
  6. Fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture until no streaks remain.
  7. Pour the mixture into a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap and smooth out the top.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  9. To serve, remove the semifreddo from the freezer, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes, then slice and enjoy!
