Råraka med löjrom
Råraka med löjrom Recipe
Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 4 medium-sized
- Butter - 4 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Sour cream - 4 tablespoons
- Löjrom (Whitefish roe) - 100g
- Fresh dill - for garnish
Instructions:
- Step 1: Peel the potatoes and grate them coarsely.
- Step 2: Squeeze out any excess water from the grated potatoes using a clean kitchen towel.
- Step 3: Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Step 4: Add the grated potatoes to the pan and season with salt and black pepper.
- Step 5: Press the potatoes down with a spatula to form a flat pancake-like shape.
- Step 6: Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
- Step 7: Using a large plate, carefully flip the råraka onto the plate.
- Step 8: Add the remaining butter to the pan and slide the råraka back into the pan to cook the other side for another 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Step 9: Once cooked, transfer the råraka to a serving plate.
- Step 10: Top the råraka with sliced red onions, sour cream, and löjrom (whitefish roe).
- Step 11: Garnish with fresh dill.
- Step 12: Serve immediately and enjoy!
