Jalapeño Poppers Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 bacon slices
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut each jalapeño pepper in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membrane.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap each filled jalapeño half with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- In a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Dip each bacon-wrapped jalapeño popper into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure it is evenly coated.
- Place the coated jalapeño poppers on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving suggestion:
Serve the jalapeño poppers as an appetizer or snack. They pair well with a dip of your choice, such as ranch dressing or sour cream.
